About the position

The Controller position at Beacon Hill Staffing Group is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial reporting, banking, insurance, and compliance with licensing requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting systems and the ability to supervise and support a multi-site accounting department. The Controller will ensure accurate financial management and reporting while maintaining relationships with external partners such as banks and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial reporting including financial statement preparation, job and equipment cost reporting, and various tax and other reports and related audits.
• Supervise, educate, and support coworkers in the accounting department.
• Oversee bank activity and reconciliation.
• Manage relationships with insurance companies and sureties, including yearly audits and annual renewals.
• Manage 401k audits and compliance.
• Apply for contractor licenses as necessary and renew current licenses.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in accounting.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• 10+ years of financial management experience.
• Supervisory experience including managing multi-site accounting departments.
