About the position

The Controller position at a dynamic and growing company in Waxahachie, TX, is a full-time role that requires a financial professional to manage and analyze the company's financial performance. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the management team, providing timely reports and financial advice to the business owner while overseeing various financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the recording, evaluation, reporting, and analysis of financial performance across all business areas.
• Provide financial advice to the business owner.
• Examine finances for opportunities to increase profits.
• Implement and manage the company's ERP system.
• Prepare up-to-date financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheets, and Project Costs.
• Manage the company's Cash Management processes.
• Oversee Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payable.
• Manage Payroll & Benefits and oversee payroll tax deductions and payments.
• Control costs for all businesses in the enterprise.
• Manage Company Assets.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• Three (3) years' experience in accounting or finance in a lead role.
• Proven success managing an ERP and Finance software is required.
• Experience with Agvance™ software is preferred.
• Intimate knowledge of cash management, financial analysis and planning, budgeting, and proforma projections.
• Verifiable experience working with entrepreneurial owners providing sound accounting practices and financial management.
• Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
• Ability to systemize self and others.
