Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (GAAP) under established deadlines.
  • Design and implement strong internal controls, mitigating financial risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
  • Develop accurate and comprehensive budgets and forecasts, supporting strategic planning and financial decision-making.
  • Oversee cash flow management, optimize working capital, and manage relationships with financial institutions.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes.
  • Take initiative on strategic projects assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 3 years of NetSuite experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in GAAP.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing an accounting team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear and concise information.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, able to engage with diverse stakeholders from various levels.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges.

Nice-to-haves

  • Rental and service experience preferred, with exposure to revenue recognition, lease accounting, and industry-specific regulations.
  • A genuine interest in the business and a desire to contribute beyond core accounting functions.
