About the position

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all treasury functions, managing the accounting close process, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. This role involves preparing and consolidating financial statements, establishing internal controls, and managing the general ledger. The Controller will also coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data flow and manage external audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage BBC reporting and all treasury functions including cash management.
• Oversee the accounting close process including preparation of calendar, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements.
• Establish and maintain internal controls.
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger including analyzing and reporting any variances.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses.
• Prepare all supporting documentation for 10k & 10Q for both the footnote and MD&A section.
• Create and manage the budget process, including BVA as needed.
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Manage external audits.
• Create accounting policies and procedures that improve the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of financial data.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure significant information is well understood and financial data flows to the general ledger properly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience with borrowing base, preferably with asset-based lenders.
• Ability to produce financial statements and assist with budgeting.
