About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will manage all accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of financial management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments.
  • Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Implement and maintain financial software systems, including Xero, to enhance efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Monitor cash management activities to optimize cash flow and ensure liquidity.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that drive business performance.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including accounts payable and account reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications; experience with Xero is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of financial analysis techniques.
  • Excellent cash management skills with the ability to forecast cash needs accurately.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
  • High level of financial acumen and attention to detail.
