The Controller at Circularix will play a pivotal role in overseeing the corporate accounting department, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of both internal and external monthly financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position requires a strong leader who can manage the month-end closing process, ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled promptly. The Controller will provide direct supervision and support to the accounting manager, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting. In addition to managing the closing process, the Controller will be responsible for preparing monthly lender compliance reports and leading the annual audit process by preparing annual financial statements. This role also involves researching technical accounting issues and developing business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. The Controller will assist in the preparation of monthly board materials and collaborate closely with the finance department to prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. With over six years of combined accounting and finance experience, including at least two years in a managerial role, the Controller will have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, particularly in Revenue Recognition (ASC 606) and Lease Accounting (ASC 842). Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, is a plus, as is experience in consumer-packaged goods or manufacturing companies with annual revenues exceeding $100 million. The role demands advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, along with a hands-on, down-to-earth approach to problem-solving and a proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly growing company.
