About the position

The Controller position at Robert Half in Boise, Idaho, is a key role responsible for overseeing all financial functions and developing financial strategies that align with the company's strategic goals. This position involves leading the finance team, collaborating with other departments to drive business objectives, and managing financial performance to support strategic growth initiatives. The role requires a strong background in financial management, particularly in manufacturing or construction sectors, and is 100% onsite with no relocation offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to align with the company's strategic goals and objectives
• Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, tax planning, and treasury management
• Provide leadership and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the finance team
• Monitor financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Prepare and present financial reports, analyses, and forecasts to senior management and external stakeholders
• Manage relationships with financial institutions to secure financing and optimize capital structure
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial planning activities, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities

Requirements

• Manufacturing or Construction experience required
• Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports
• Experience in preparing and managing annual budgets
• Must have experience in managing business banking relationships
• Knowledge of board reporting is required
• Prior experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) is necessary
• Must be knowledgeable in GAAP Accounting
