About the position

The Controller at EnPro Industries is responsible for overseeing operations accounting and financial reporting for Technetics Columbia. This role involves the development, analysis, and interpretation of financial information to evaluate operating performance, focusing on cost management, budgeting, and profitability improvement. The Controller serves as the financial leader, ensuring data integrity and providing proactive financial leadership to the local management team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compile, and analyze month-end, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Direct activities of accounting staff and coordinate with other departments to support day-to-day operations, budgets, and forecasting.
• Participate as an integral member of the site leadership team, providing data-driven analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Interpret operating results and make recommendations to increase efficiencies and profit improvement.
• Develop and leverage management reporting and analytical tools to support operational tracking and improvement.
• Support site management in financial analysis for capital expenditures, new product business, and pricing requests.
• Review periodic shipments for low or negative margins and generate actions to improve profitability.
• Establish and review site overhead allocation rates and ensure accurate cost models for pricing.
• Maintain an internal control environment in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and US GAAP.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including accounting/finance experience.
• Preferred: MBA and/or CPA, significant cost accounting experience.
