About the position

The Interim Controller at Tracy Anderson Method will oversee financial operations during a maternity leave period, with the potential for a full-time role thereafter. This position is critical for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective management of accounting functions, including payroll and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Manage state taxes related to payroll processing.
• Monitor financial results against the budget and provide recommendations for cost control and operational efficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial best practices throughout the organization.
• Oversee and manage monthly closings on time and accurate.
• Respond to all unemployment claims in a timely manner.
• Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal and state regulations related to payroll.
• Manage month-end bank and credit card reconciliations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Experience with Paylocity payroll system.
• Core competencies in risk management, training and development, and compliance.
