About the position

The Controller position is available immediately for a construction company based in North Tallahassee, focusing on the construction of multi-family properties within a 100-mile radius. Responsibilities

• Manage budgetary functions for all departments.
• Manage cash flow.
• Coordinate with banks.
• Review and reconcile monthly statements.
• Maintain rolling six-month forecast.
• A/P management and reporting.
• Supervise assistant.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Prepare comprehensive management reports analyzing the financial state of the company.
• Receive and enter accounts payable bills.
• Review budget to actual numbers with each department.
• Coordinate month-end closing.
• Reconcile all accounts monthly including analysis of all accruals.
• Implement audit procedures.
• Prepare year-end reporting package including 1099 preparation.
• Calculate and prepare payroll.
• Review updated company financial position monthly with employees.
• Responsible for all accounting procedures.
• Negotiate and manage insurance policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Controller in a construction environment.
• Proficient in QuickBooks, bill.com, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in general ledger accounting and financial management.
