About the position

The Goldman Sachs Asset Wealth Management (AWM) Public Product Controllers group is seeking an analyst to support the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) compliance. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure adherence to GIPS, manage composite performance, and assist in the preparation of marketing materials. The position is ideal for individuals with strong ethics, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit, contributing directly to the firm's financial control and reporting functions.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Product Management, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Compliance, and Performance teams on GIPS compliance matters.
• Document and maintain policies and procedures for GIPS oversight and ensure robust controls around composite management.
• Evaluate investment management agreements to place accounts in composites and assess the impact of account changes on composite placement.
• Review analytics around composite dispersion and identify exceptions in account performance.
• Support the preparation of composite presentations, marketing materials, and Requests for Proposal responses.
• Assist with the annual GIPS verification and performance examinations.
• Contribute to special projects and strategic process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant industry experience with exposure to Investment Management.
• Strong academic background with a concentration in Finance/Accounting; working towards CFA, CIPM, and/or CPA is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment under pressure.
• Solid PC skills, specifically Excel (macros and VBA experience is a plus).
