About the position

The Controls Analyst position at SEI is a vital role within the Middle Office Team, which supports Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), Banks, Money Managers, and the SEI Wealth Network by providing exceptional administrative services to high-net-worth clients. The primary focus of this role is to ensure exceptional transaction quality for clients by being part of the quality control team. This team is responsible for reviewing the work of the Middle Office Regional Teams that support the Advisor Network. As a Controls Analyst, you will need to have a client-oriented approach and work closely with various teams to coordinate client investment activities. A strong understanding of the mutual fund and securities business is essential, along with a willingness to learn about investment management operations. The role offers opportunities for career progression into various positions such as Operations team leader, service and/or sales roles, product development, project management, and other opportunities within SEI Private Trust Company. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and entering client information and transactions into multiple systems, including Trust 3000, NxAS, Trust Office, Business Builder, Advisor Portal, and Filenet Imaging Systems. You will interpret monetary requests to determine the correct course of action, ensuring that you understand the high-net-worth client's goals and SEI's guidelines. Maintaining confidentiality and privacy is paramount, as is providing the highest level of quality when completing client requests. You will also identify errors, provide feedback, and recommend solutions to improve processes. Training other administrators on operational responsibilities will be part of your duties once you have gained sufficient knowledge. Additionally, you will research and resolve events on the Trust 3000 system, monitor work queues, and participate in departmental projects aimed at improving current processes and systems. Occasionally, you may provide overviews of operations functions and systems to RIA clients and prospects, and you will need to communicate with advisors when more information is required.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and enter client information and transactions into multiple systems including Trust 3000, NxAS, Trust Office, Business Builder, Advisor Portal and Filenet Imaging Systems.
  • Interpret monetary requests to determine the correct course of action based on client goals and SEI's guidelines.
  • Provide the highest level of quality possible when completing a client request.
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Identify errors, provide feedback, identify trends, and recommend solutions.
  • Identify Advisor related processing issues to ensure accurate completion of submitted requests.
  • Train other administrators on operational responsibilities once sufficient knowledge is gained.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve events on the Trust 3000 system using various tools and departments.
  • Monitor work queues and adjust resources to complete all items by internal and external cutoff times.
  • Learn all facets of Middle Office Operations including new account set-up, distributions, receipts, trade processing, and monetary requests.
  • Participate in departmental projects to improve current processes and systems.
  • Occasionally provide overviews of Operations functions and systems to RIA clients and prospects.
  • Call advisors when more information is needed.

Requirements

  • B.S/B.A. in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Strong dedication to quality customer service.
  • Knowledge of the mutual fund industry.

  • Ability to prioritize in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts, multi-task, and be detail-oriented.

  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Access for Windows.
