About the position

Daikin Applied is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controls Application Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Controls team in Plymouth, MN. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field to gain hands-on experience in the HVAC industry. As the world's largest HVAC company, Daikin Applied is committed to innovation and excellence, and this internship will allow you to contribute to meaningful projects that can have a direct impact on our HVAC development. The internship will take place from May to August 2025, and you will be required to work in the office four days a week. During your internship, you will learn how to develop and improve control sequences for HVAC systems, which are essential for outlining how these systems operate. You will assist with coding and implementing operations for HVAC systems, providing you with valuable experience in both hardware and software aspects of engineering. Additionally, you will support troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with experienced engineers to solve problems and create standard operating procedures. Responsibilities

  • Learn how to develop and improve control sequences for HVAC systems.

Requirements

  • Sophomore or Junior pursuing Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
