About the position

Daikin Applied is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controls Application Engineering Intern to join our dynamic Controls team in Plymouth, MN. This internship is an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering and controls within a leading organization. As the world's largest HVAC company, Daikin Applied is committed to providing innovative HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications. The internship will take place from May to August 2025, and interns will be required to work in the office four days a week. Interns will have the chance to own a meaningful, real-life project within the Controls Department that can directly create a positive impact on Daikin Applied's HVAC Development. This role will not only allow interns to build relationships with other students beyond their department but also provide the ability to make an impact and shape their careers with a company that is passionate about growth. Daikin Applied believes in the importance of including and engaging diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve the best outcomes. In this role, interns will learn how to develop and improve control sequences for HVAC systems, assisting with coding and implementing operations for these systems. They will support both hardware and software aspects of the systems, troubleshooting issues as needed, and collaborating with engineers to solve problems and support the creation of standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
