About the position

State Street Global Technology Services (GTS) is seeking a Vice President for Controls Assurance to enhance the controls assurance program, ensuring compliance with standards and policies. The role involves collaborating across business lines to improve risk management and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the review and enhancement of current standards to fulfill regulatory expectations.
• Review end-to-end processes in the GTS environment to assess effectiveness in supporting standards.
• Evaluate control effectiveness from a process effectiveness perspective.
• Help remediate document gaps against optimal process effectiveness.
• Support remediation actions or strategic programs to address gaps.
• Provide regular status updates and project management reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 - 10 years of proven experience in general risk management, auditing standards, and best practices.
• Knowledge of Technology Risk and Cybersecurity frameworks and standards (COBIT, NIST, ITIL, etc.).
• Experience managing global initiatives including timelines, status, interdependencies, resource allocation, risk, and issues management.
• Strong project planning skills and expertise in program management across multiple work-streams.
• Ability to solve complex problems with support from management.
• Skilled in producing reporting for senior management.
