About the position

The Systems Analyst II (Power, Automation & Controls) will be a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for inventory movement and maintenance, data management, and statistical analysis of equipment performance within the Distribution Warehouse. This role is critical as it involves interfacing with the Warehouse Execution System (WES) and Warehouse Management System (WMS), which are essential for the daily operations of the business. The individual will primarily work in a control room environment but will also be trained in various team member responsibilities to assist during all hands-on deck situations. The goal is to provide caring, consistent, and reliable service through the distribution networks that support Chick-fil-A restaurants and their communities. Chick-fil-A Supply LLC operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Chick-fil-A, Inc., focusing on food production and distribution services tailored to meet the unique needs of Chick-fil-A restaurants. The service networks consist of two main components: state-of-the-art Distribution Centers that house supplies for the restaurants and a growing fleet of delivery vehicles that ensure timely supply to the restaurants. This position is integral to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of these operations, ensuring that the supply chain runs smoothly and meets the demands of the restaurants.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate warehouse systems events through WMS or WES.
  • Execute and run weekly to monthly reports on equipment performance and deliver them to the Controls Engineer.
  • Handle level 1 events and outages with WMS or WES and escalate to the appropriate channels.
  • Move compliant and non-compliant products in a systematic and controlled manner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for cycle counts and recalls.
  • Develop Root Cause Analysis and drive work in a systematic and structured manner.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to drive out losses and improve performance.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background to troubleshoot and eliminate complex problems.
  • Capable of learning in a dynamic, complex environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including potentially only evening shifts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates degree from a technical college focused on industrial systems like WMS or WES.
  • Experience in the logistics and supply chain industry within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, ideally Manhattan.
  • Experience with Warehouse Execution Systems or Warehouse Control Systems.
  • Programming knowledge in languages such as Python, LabVIEW, Java, C#, or MATLAB.
