About the position
The Controls Engineering Graduate - Designer 1 position at IMEG Corporation is designed for recent graduates looking to start their careers in engineering. Responsibilities
- Design, draft, and program electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for various industries.
- Assist in developing technical construction drawings including Power Distribution, Lighting, and Control Schematics.
- Conduct calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet local codes and standards.
- Review vendor documentation and client specifications to ensure design requirements are met.
- Create PLC and HMI programs and provide debugging support for existing client programs.
- Coordinate design and schedule with other engineering disciplines and equipment suppliers.
- Document design decisions and monitor project design progress.
- Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
- Supervise job site installations and conduct troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong interest in design consulting.
- Experience with industrial control systems including PLCs/PACs, HMIs, and VFDs is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical preferred).
- Skill in PLC/PAC software programming (Rockwell software preferred) is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms.
