About the position
The position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for compounding equipment within a manufacturing environment. The role requires programming and troubleshooting PLCs, assisting with capital spending projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will support and train maintenance technicians and contribute to various operational programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain control systems for compounding equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Siemens and Allen-Bradley)
- Assist with capital spending projects and implementations
- Work with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement projects
- Support and train maintenance technicians
- Support TPOC, Gemba and 5S programs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience working with control systems in a manufacturing environment
- PLC Programming/Automation experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
