About the position

The Electrical Controls Engineer position involves designing and programming electrical control systems for car wash technology. The role focuses on creating innovative hardware and software solutions, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and collaborating with various teams to drive product development and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Electrical circuit design for car wash control systems including pumps, blowers, solenoids, push buttons, e-stops, photo eyes, pressure sensors, etc.
• Establish, document, and maintain controls system standards including drawing templates, AutoCAD Blocks, startup procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Produce drawings of control panels and field wiring diagrams.
• Create documentation checklists, issue communication, and quality-related support bulletins.
• Support control panel building operations as the conduit for engineering knowledge and requirements.

Requirements

• Associates/Bachelor of Engineering degree with emphasis in electrical and/or industrial control software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with CAD schematic design with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, MS Visio, or similar packages.
• 1+ years of professional work experience.
• Fluent in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Industrial Control Panel Design experience.
• UL Experience.
• Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments.
• Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Displays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill them.

Nice-to-haves
