About the position

The Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, installing, and maintaining large-scale electrical control systems used in industrial automation processes. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can leverage their technical skills to drive efficiency and innovation within the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and supervise the production of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Servo, Ladder Logic, Electrical Controls, ABB, HMI, AC/DC, Allen Bradley, AutoCAD Electrical, and Industrial Automation to optimize systems and processes.
  • Conduct system integration, programming, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design automated systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including diagrams, schematics, and operational manuals.
  • Conduct regular system tests to ensure functionality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Develop innovative solutions to improve system capabilities and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Provide training and technical support to team members and end users.
  • Keep abreast of advancements and best practices in industrial automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in Servo, Ladder Logic, Electrical Controls, ABB, HMI, AC/DC, Allen Bradley, AutoCAD Electrical, and Industrial Automation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, and industrial automation processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a knack for completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Superior communication skills, with the ability to explain complex systems in clear, understandable terms.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required.
