As a Controls Engineer at Trex, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our manufacturing processes through innovative design and support for instrumentation, PLC controls, and variable frequency drives that power all production lines. This position is integral to our Process Engineering team, where you will be expected to maximize productivity and efficiency across our facilities. Your responsibilities will include leading safety initiatives, participating in site safety programs, and ensuring compliance with NFPA70E standards. You will develop and execute changes to PLC controls in collaboration with process engineers and maintenance technicians, maintaining comprehensive documentation for electrical panels and PLC controls. Additionally, you will support capital engineering projects, including panel design and new equipment startup, while being involved in troubleshooting and assisting maintenance with control issues.
