About the position
The Controls Engineer will be part of the Process Control team, focusing on optimizing plant operations through advanced control techniques. This role involves designing and developing industrial control systems, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity initiatives, and providing expert guidance to enhance production capacity and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop industrial control system solutions, including DCS, PLC, and HMI programs.
- Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity initiatives for Operational Technology devices.
- Monitor key performance indicators for control equipment and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Optimize and automate plant controls to enhance cost-effectiveness and production capacity.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership to plant management, engineers, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in process control systems for industrial settings preferred.
- Proven experience in leading teams, either directly or indirectly.
- Strong understanding of ICS architecture, including operational reliability and disaster recovery.
- High integrity, thoroughness, creativity, flexibility, and strong collaborative skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Delta V, Allen Bradley, and PI systems.
