About the position
The Controls Engineer position at Actalent involves programming and integrating control systems for automation projects. Responsibilities
- Develop and program Siemens PLC code for automation systems.
- Design and implement HMI interfaces for user interaction with control systems.
- Integrate OEM systems and ensure seamless operation within existing frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to controls hardware and software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in automation and controls engineering.
- Proficient in Siemens PLC programming and HMI programming.
- Experience with controls hardware including sensors, remote IO, servos, VFDs, machine vision, and barcode readers.
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols such as Profinet, Ethernet I/P, and EtherCAT.
