About the position

The Controls Service Technician at Trane Technologies is responsible for commissioning, programming, and servicing HVAC control systems in the Oklahoma City area. This role involves direct customer interaction, ensuring satisfaction through effective troubleshooting and repairs, and maintaining high safety standards. The technician will work independently, often dispatched from home, and will have opportunities for career advancement and training within a leading HVAC company.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, programming, and setting up HVAC control systems.
• Performing end-to-end testing and troubleshooting of assigned projects.
• Documenting point-to-point verification and sequence of operations validation.
• Serving as the direct customer contact for servicing products and equipment.
• Coordinating with team leaders and customers to understand installation and repair requirements.
• Keeping current on Trane products and services related to direct digital control systems.
• Enforcing safety standards and maintaining accountability for company assets.
• Maintaining flexibility to work overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
• Technical School or formal training preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Working proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
• Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience with DDC controls system preferred.
