About the position

MSS Solutions, LLC is seeking a Controls Project Technician I in Charlotte, NC, to support the growth of the company by providing expertise in building automation and controls systems. This role involves startup, commissioning, and maintenance of various electronic control systems, ensuring high customer satisfaction and quality standards in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated experience in startup and commissioning of building automation and controls systems.
• Ability to test and modify various controls software system languages.
• Responsible for device testing (end-to-end), program downloading, equipment startup, and operations.
• Interpret control drawings, plans, and sequence of operations.
• Perform hardware installation, software programming, diagnosis, and repair of DDC systems at customer locations.
• Interface and consult with customers or contractors during site assessments.
• Represent the company to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
• Document work performed by completing necessary paperwork and maintaining an electronic database.
• Maintain customer/contractor satisfaction for continual company growth.
• Lead installation efforts by monitoring subcontractor labor to ensure quality standards and project schedules are met.
• Participate in company training and self-study to improve technical proficiency in program platforms.
• Comply with all company safety policies.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of three (3) years of controls field experience.
• Demonstrated ability and knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems.
• Preferred programming capabilities may include Niagara platform, Johnson Controls, Trane, and Honeywell Building Management Systems.
