About the position
The Convenience Store Fuel Attendant position at Cain Petroleum involves providing excellent customer service while fueling vehicles and handling payment transactions. This part-time role requires availability on weekends and offers an employee advancement program. The attendant will be responsible for greeting customers, activating fuel pumps, and maintaining store cleanliness, all while adhering to Chevron Customer First Standards.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers, answers questions, and provides prompt, courteous service.
- Activates pumps and fills customer fuel tanks with the correct grade and amount of fuel and provides receipts of sale.
- Responsible for all payment transactions with customers, mainly credit card transactions, and directing all other forms of payment to the Cashier.
- Completes assigned cleaning responsibilities.
- Washes windshields.
- Reports any suspicious activity to the direct supervisor and authorities, if needed.
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/district coordinator.
- Maintains Chevron Customer First Standards.
- Closes the store when needed.
Requirements
- No prior experience or training required.
- Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Has the minimal skills necessary to operate a computer.

- Previous experience and/or training in a fuel/gas station environment is preferred.
