About the position
The Convenience Store / Gas Station Supervisor at Toka Sticks Service Station is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in daily operations and overseeing store activities in their absence. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service, maintaining store conditions, managing merchandising, ensuring compliance with sales and financial controls, and supervising store employees to create a safe and profitable environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily store activities and oversee operations in their absence.
- Provide excellent customer service and coach employees to do the same.
- Maintain awareness of store conditions and report any issues to the Store Manager.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the store clean and organized.
- Monitor product areas to ensure they are stocked, rotated, and displayed properly.
- Assist in preparing merchandise orders and ensure food items are prepared according to safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with sales regulations and company policies during transactions.
- Keep accurate records of cash, sales, food costs, payroll, and inventory.
- Assist with employee training, scheduling, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety codes and company policies.
- Report incidents and maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 1 year of previous work experience in a retail or convenience store environment.
- Valid AZ driver's license.
- Strong customer service and professional etiquette skills.
- Basic math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills in the use of POS equipment.
