Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes and mills.
- Truing material in a 4 jaw chuck.
- Turning and boring long material in a steady rest.
- Holding close tolerances on machined parts.
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and layouts.
Requirements
- Must pass a written test on measurements, conversions, and tool descriptions.
- Ability to perform hands-on tests demonstrating machining skills.
- Proficiency in conventional machining techniques.

- Familiarity with flame straightening.
