About the position

As a member of the Deloitte Consulting Innovation Practice, you will participate in application architecture and design discussions, collaborating with team leads to define solution designs for development. Your role will involve analyzing business and functional requirements, developing code that meets these requirements, and creating unit and integration tests while demonstrating excellent troubleshooting skills. You will perform peer code reviews to ensure alignment with architectural standards and best practices, and you will understand and comply with the established agile development methodology, participating in various Agile ceremonies such as scrum meetings and sprint planning. Additionally, you will create and evolve application documentation as required and work closely with other engineers within your product team and across the organization to identify problems and build effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in application architecture and design discussions.
• Work with team leads in defining solution design for development.
• Analyze business/functional requirements and develop code meeting all the requirements.
• Develop unit/integration tests and demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Perform peer code reviews and ensure alignment with architectural standards and best practices.
• Understand and comply with the established agile development methodology.
• Participate in various Agile ceremonies like scrum meetings and sprint planning.
• Create and evolve application documentation as required.
• Work closely with other engineers to identify problems and build effective technical solutions.

Requirements

• A BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience in front-end development using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React.
• 1+ years experience developing Python-based microservices, ideally using FastAPI or Django.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Capable of supporting the implementation of security requirements across components.
• Proficient in developing, containerizing, and orchestrating applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Adept at documenting all processes to support the creation of Technical Design Specification deliverables.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with GenAI application and data frameworks such as LangChain/LlamaIndex/Dspy.
• Experience in developing, deploying, and testing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Knowledgeable in the use and implementation of open-source Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of LLM agents and tools.
