About the position

The Conveyor Technician Tech II position is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues within conveyor systems and other warehouse machinery. The role includes daily maintenance of conveyor systems, MHE batteries, and battery stations, as well as supporting general housekeeping and preventive maintenance of various warehouse equipment. The technician will work closely with maintenance staff to ensure a safe and functional work environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in conveyor systems.
• Perform daily maintenance on conveyor systems and MHE batteries.
• Support general housekeeping and facility maintenance tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on fire extinguishers, dock doors, and dock levelers.
• Maintain a safe and functional work environment in collaboration with maintenance staff.

Requirements

• Experience in conveyor maintenance and equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficiency in electrical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to interpret technical documents.
• Experience in quality testing and inspections.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Adherence to safety procedures.
• Effective decision-making skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with battery maintenance and upkeep.
• Familiarity with warehouse machinery and equipment.
