About the position

Osmo is seeking a finance-savvy Chief Operating Officer (COO/CFO) to join our management team. This role is pivotal in running Osmo's internal operations, focusing on strategic finance, financial planning and analysis, and corporate development. The COO/CFO will be responsible for implementing rigorous processes as the company scales, managing investor relations, and overseeing capital raising efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and interpersonal abilities, contributing to the growth and operational efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Owning organizational and financial roadmap design, blending research & product planning with financial planning & analysis.
  • Managing ongoing investment in growth by implementing plans and forecasting capital needs.
  • Raising capital through negotiation and drafting of securities purchase agreements and credit agreements.
  • Structuring organizations and overseeing legal and financial setups.
  • Engineering financial and interpersonal incentives, advising on organizational design.
  • Managing day-to-day investor relations and reporting.
  • Building a framework for corporate development and managing deal pipeline.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years operational experience in a company with a strong R&D component.
  • Undergraduate degree in Economics/Finance or similar with 5-10 years experience in finance (investment banking, public or private equity investing, or credit investing).
  • 5+ years experience in an operating role (FP&A, strategic finance, operations, or corporate development) at a high-growth technology company.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and manage a financial plan, including forecasting through up-cycles and down-cycles.
  • Track record of raising equity and debt capital at scale.
  • Experience in setting and managing a company incentive plan, including benchmarking.
  • Comfort with rapidly evolving technology and ability to communicate with cross-functional partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity and experience with implementation of modern FP&A software and Corporate Development software.
