Responsibilities

  • Organizes work area for maximum production and follows production sheets to avoid overproduction.
  • Reads, follows, and understands production sheets.
  • Delivers and stocks supply items in designated areas accurately and timely.
  • Follows timetables for production and delivery of supplies to meet standards.
  • Maintains kitchen and serving areas in a clean, neat, and orderly manner to exceed sanitation standards.
  • Works in all areas of production to gain competency in food preparation, grill cooking, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Reads and prepares simple recipes to department standards.
  • Operates and grills foods properly.
  • Labels and dates foods according to HACCP standards.
  • Understands and follows HACCP sanitation guidelines for safe food handling.
  • Records temperatures of food items and refrigerated units, taking action when temperatures are inadequate.
  • Understands the FIFO system of food production.
  • Follows OSHA safety guidelines and demonstrates safe knife skills.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in food preparation or kitchen environment preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of HACCP sanitation guidelines.
  • Experience with grill cooking and food safety standards.
