In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of essential functions that may vary based on client requirements and business needs. You will cook and prepare a diverse range of food items according to standardized recipes and production guidelines. Setting up your workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment is crucial, as is preparing ingredients through measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling. You will safely use various utensils, including knives, and operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers. Your culinary skills will be put to the test as you bake, roast, broil, steam, and employ various cooking methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods. Presentation is key in this role; you will arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines while adhering to food safety policies and procedures for proper food storage. Maintaining cleanliness is essential, so you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils. Excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers are expected at all times. You will also need to ensure the security of company assets and adhere to Aramark's safety policies and procedures, including accurate food safety and sanitation practices. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required.
  • Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage.
  • Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
  • Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
