About the position

The Cook position at Simpson House involves preparing and serving nutritious meals for senior residents in a retirement community. Responsibilities

  • Prepare meals according to established recipes and portion sizes, ensuring proper cooking temperatures and food presentation.
  • Modify recipes and meal plans to accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and maintain accurate records of special dietary requests.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and monitoring food storage.
  • Engage with senior residents during meal service, addressing concerns and creating a welcoming dining environment.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely meal service.
  • Gather feedback from residents regarding meals and use it to improve menu offerings.

Requirements
