About the position

The Cook at Sagora plays a vital role in providing high-quality meals in a senior living community. This position requires a passion for service and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Cooks are responsible for preparing delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of residents while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items
• Monitor stock
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas
• Assist with training of all Culinary team members
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly and courteous manner

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and Food Handler's permit as regulated by state and local authorities
• Must have skills in preparing specialized dishes for specific diets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members
