About the position

The Cook position at Crowne Plaza Anchorage Midtown is primarily responsible for maintaining food production and quality control across various kitchen stations. This role ensures that all dishes are prepared to specifications in a timely manner while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. The Cook will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for guests and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and set up food production for various kitchen stations.
• Ensure quality control of all meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks, and seasonings.
• Prepare dishes according to proper specifications in a timely manner.
• Maintain plating and presentation standards for all food items.
• Follow safety standards and regulations in food preparation.
• Ensure sanitation and maintenance of a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Prior hotel or hospitality experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• State Food Handlers certification required or ability to obtain one.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
