About the position

The Cooker Operator 2 is responsible for operating PLC-controlled machinery in a rendering facility. This role involves monitoring equipment, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining a safe working environment. The operator will also be responsible for cleaning and documenting plant operations according to GMP standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate PLC-controlled machinery for cooking processes.
• Monitor pumps and grinders to ensure quality assurance.
• Blow grease lines as required.
• Clean work areas, including shoveling floors and hosing down machinery.
• Document plant operations per GMP program.
• Notify shift manager of any issues or maintenance problems.
• Attend all safety meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum two years prior experience in a rendering facility or production environment.

Nice-to-haves

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Dependable and reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
