About the position
Perdue Foods is part of Perdue Farms, a family-owned company heading into its second century of growth and innovation. With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food. This position works in the Weigh & Price cooler pulling racks, loading baskets, staging product and feeding conveyer belt lines. The shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, with opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Moves racks to designated area within the Weigh & Price cooler
- Places packaged product on production line conveyor belt
- States necessary product in preparation for production line
- Loads baskets of product
- Maintains work area clean and safe
- Participates in the company and departmental safety programs
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to work as a team player is essential
- Attendance is an essential function of this job
- Read product labels in English
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is helpful but is not required
