The Cooperative Equity Data Analyst plays a crucial role in the administration and facilitation of data analysis, validation, and reporting for Organic Valley's cooperative equity programs. This position is responsible for managing the cooperative's privately held preferred stock offerings, including outside preferred stock securities and member preferred stock, as well as overseeing member common voting stock and patronage/non-patronage business administration. The role requires a combination of administrative review, reconciliation, data analysis, and collaborative work functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, cooperative bylaws, and the cooperative's governing documents. In this highly technical position, the analyst will facilitate the collection of patronage and non-patronage data on both cash and accrual bases to meet the cooperative's reporting needs. This includes preparing data for 1099 reporting, corporate tax returns, patronage distribution, and capital base plans. The analyst will also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data integrity and compliance, review and validate equity and patronage data, and reconcile cash activities within the equity department's general ledger accounts. The role involves administering the annual capital base requirement review, maintaining business rules for data management, and structuring large data sets to extract usable information. The analyst will engage with internal customers to communicate changes and status updates, document and track development requests made to IT, and prepare meetings to review business requirements. Additionally, the analyst will support the equity team with various duties as needed, ensuring that all tasks align with the cooperative's mission and operational goals.
