About The Position

The HR Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and delivering new hire orientation and onboarding for hourly employees, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and entered into the Workday system. This role serves as a clerical support to the HR team, acting as the first point of contact for current employees and walk-in applicants, while also collaborating with recruiters on pre-employment tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated relevant clerical experience; experience within the human resources field strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to work with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Workday or similar HCM system preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written; ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and sense of urgency, able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within the human resources field strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge/experience within Workday or other similar HCM system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and deliver hourly new hire orientation to ensure new employees understand company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all required new hire paperwork is valid and correctly entered into Workday at the time of orientation.
  • Coordinate, conduct, and follow up with onboarding tasks to ensure timely completion and accurate data entry.
  • Check rehire status at the time of application in Workday and merge records if needed.
  • Partner with recruiting to schedule new hires for orientation, paperwork completion, and job previews.
  • Screen job bid candidates and work with the recruiter on scheduling interviews and presenting offer letters.
  • Act as the first point of contact for walk-in applicants and answer basic questions regarding HR policies or programs.
  • Perform miscellaneous departmental tasks such as badging, resolution of social security issues, and employee completion of I-9 information.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Follow and promote all safety initiatives to maintain a zero accident culture.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities as requested.
