About the position

The Coordinating Lead Clinician position at COMHAR's Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) is a vital role focused on supporting children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. Located in the Philadelphia area, the IBHS program provides services across various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments. The primary goal is to help these individuals reduce or replace problematic behaviors with more positive, socially appropriate ones, emphasizing family engagement throughout the treatment process. As the lead clinician on a team of behavioral health professionals, the Coordinating Lead Clinician will oversee a group that includes Master's level Lead Clinicians, Group Mobile Therapists, and Bachelor's or High School Level Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs). The position entails a manageable staff-to-student ratio, with clinicians working at a 1:10 ratio and Group Mobile Therapists at a 1:3 ratio. This structure allows for personalized attention and effective intervention strategies tailored to each student's needs. The role requires the Coordinating Lead Clinician to be present at the school throughout the day, managing a reduced caseload to focus on specific program issues. Responsibilities include ensuring timely arrival of BHT workers, managing daily programming, conducting prep meetings with staff, and overseeing morning activities. The Coordinating Lead Clinician will also collaborate with other clinicians and care coordinators to enroll children in summer camp activities and develop a resource book for the school.
