About the position

The position involves managing teams responsible for maintaining or building parts, command & control outage response, and monitoring and restoration efforts of the system-wide service territory distribution grid. The role emphasizes providing safe and reliable electric service while ensuring compliance with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) General Orders, safety regulations, and other regulatory requirements. The supervisor will analyze and prioritize outages to determine the most efficient restoration needs, implement safety policies and best practices, and manage employee accountability. Additionally, the supervisor ensures full compliance with the Injury & Illness Prevention Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage teams involved in maintaining or building parts and outage response.
  • Provide safe and reliable electric service while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and prioritize outages for efficient restoration needs.
  • Implement safety policies and best practices.
  • Manage employee accountability and ensure compliance with safety programs.
  • Address customer needs and develop comprehensive solutions across all segments.
  • Provide guidance and support to field groups preparing plans for emergency response.
  • Identify and mobilize optimal resources for executing the annual work plan.
  • Monitor work progression from initiation through construction readiness.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Review work practices for operational efficiencies and deficiencies.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and manage technology and data process improvements.
  • Design, implement, and monitor training programs for maintenance personnel.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction, field maintenance operations, or related electric utility experience.
