About the position

The Coordinator 3, Marketing, at Salt Lake Technical College (SLTech) plays a pivotal role in promoting the college's offerings, including technical education and workforce training. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position is responsible for implementing marketing strategies that engage various stakeholders, including employers, potential students, and community members. The Coordinator will develop marketing assets and engage in activities that highlight SLTech's programs, working closely with administrators, faculty, and staff to ensure effective outreach and communication. This includes creating graphic designs for digital and print materials, shooting and editing videos, and managing digital content across various platforms. In addition to content creation, the Coordinator will assist in strategic planning and the development of marketing campaigns, evaluating their effectiveness through analytics. The role requires overseeing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and prioritizing multiple projects to meet critical deadlines. Building and maintaining relationships with internal departments and external partners is essential for the success of marketing initiatives. The Coordinator will also be expected to adapt to various tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to marketing challenges. The position demands a strong understanding of marketing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse projects. The Coordinator will be instrumental in enhancing SLTech's visibility and engagement within the community, contributing to the college's mission of providing accessible education and workforce development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing assets and engage in activities to promote technical education, workforce and corporate training.
  • Create graphic designs for digital, web, and print-based collateral.
  • Shoot and edit video content for marketing purposes.
  • Create and post digital content across various platforms.
  • Assist in strategic planning and develop marketing and outreach campaigns.
  • Evaluate outcomes of marketing efforts using analytics.
  • Oversee project budgets and track expenditures.
  • Prioritize and coordinate multiple projects according to critical deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • Four (4) years direct, full-time paid work experience in marketing, communications, public relations, business, graphic design, or digital media.
  • Trade off 2:1 in experience/education requirement.
