The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Coordinator B-Instructional Designer to support the development and delivery of predominantly online education for ITMAT Education programs, specifically focusing on Regulatory Affairs graduate and certificate programs. This role involves collaborating with course instructors to design or revise approximately 3-4 online courses each term, while also maintaining and evaluating an additional 3-4 courses. The instructional designer will assist faculty with the technical aspects of course delivery, including coordinating guest lecturers and managing the posting of video recordings. Furthermore, the position will contribute to student affairs work, program marketing and recruitment, events, strategic planning, and other special projects aligned with the designer's skills and interests. The role is expected to be hybrid, allowing for a mix of onsite and remote work. In this position, the instructional designer will be responsible for developing productive relationships with course instructors, supporting them in revising course materials, exploring new teaching strategies, and utilizing educational technology. The designer will also manage multiple course design projects simultaneously, ensuring that all deadlines are met while adhering to accessibility and copyright compliance standards. The role requires a strong understanding of educational technologies and learning management systems, particularly Canvas or similar platforms, to create engaging online content and assessments. Additionally, the instructional designer will contribute to course quality assurance efforts and assist with marketing and publicizing the programs, ensuring that public-facing information is accurate and up-to-date.
