About the position

The Coordinator Clinical Research II at MetroHealth Medical Center is responsible for planning, delivering, documenting, and monitoring the progress of subjects enrolled in clinical research studies. This role involves collaboration with research department leadership to develop study budgets and ensure adherence to study protocols, all while upholding the mission and values of MetroHealth.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver clinical research studies in accordance with protocols.
  • Document and observe the progress of subjects enrolled in research studies.
  • Assist in the development of study budgets with research department leadership.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in a Science, Healthcare, or related field.
  • Three years of experience as a clinical research coordinator with human subjects, or two years of experience with a relevant certification.
  • Experience working with an Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in personal computers and various software/database applications (e.g., EPIC, OnBase, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or another related field.
  • Experience with finance/billing.
  • Currently a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) by ACRP or SOCRA.
