About the position

The Coordinator of Creative Arts is responsible for providing person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role emphasizes promoting confidentiality, dignity, and well-being while assisting individuals in leading self-directed lives and fostering community participation.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to provide person-centered support.
• Promote confidentiality, privacy, human dignity, uniqueness, and physical and emotional well-being.
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining relationships.
• Advocate for justice, fairness, equity, and full community participation.
• Show respect, integrity, and responsibility towards individuals supported, staff members, and the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts in a creative arts field, Bachelor of Arts in Education, or a related field is required.
• One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Valid NYS driver's license is required.
• Access to timely and reliable transportation to transport self and/or individuals as necessary.
