About the position

The Coordinator of Development Operations at Ducks Unlimited, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting the Manager of Development Operations by managing acknowledgment letters for major sponsors and prospects, processing memorial and tribute gifts, and maintaining organized documentation. This position is essential for ensuring effective communication and personalized service to donors and volunteers, contributing to the organization's mission of waterfowl and wetlands conservation.

Responsibilities

• Process memorial/tribute gifts.
• Set-up memorial/tribute accounts.
• Prepare acknowledgement letters for memorial/tribute giving.
• Prepare gift and acknowledgement documents for filing.
• Lead document filing activities and organization of physical filing space.
• Handle all data requests and serve as Development Operations point of contact for two regions of the Great Lakes/Atlantic Region field team.
• Provide personalized customer service to donors and volunteers.
• Assist with department mailings, provide back-up coverage for other support staff, and assist with other appropriate duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three years administrative/clerical experience.
• Exceptional telephone and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Demonstrated skill and knowledge of technological tools, including membership databases (Blackbaud CRM) preferred.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
