About the position

The Coordinator - Digital Marketing at Mountaineer Casino Resort is responsible for facilitating content development across various digital platforms, including social media, the company website, email marketing campaigns, and mobile presence. This full-time position is based in New Cumberland, WV, and plays a crucial role in maintaining the online reputation of the casino through active engagement and content management. The coordinator will ensure that all digital assets reflect current promotions and initiatives, working closely with the Marketing Department and company executives to achieve online sales goals and enhance audience engagement. Key responsibilities include maintaining a regular social media presence, ensuring that website and mobile content is up to date, and initiating new online advertising campaigns as directed by management. The coordinator will also be tasked with creating, deploying, and maintaining regular email campaigns, as well as managing the casino's online reputation through platforms such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google. Collaboration with property management on upcoming initiatives and objectives is essential, as is the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes established by company management. The role requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The coordinator will also need to maintain confidentiality regarding departmental, company, and guest records, and will be required to work with various software programs to fulfill job requirements. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager and subsequently to the Director of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular social media presence and content posting.
  • Ensure website/mobile content is up to date.
  • Initiate new social media and online paid advertising as directed by management.
  • Create, deploy, and maintain regular email campaigns.
  • Maintain Mountaineer's online reputation through channels such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, etc.
  • Ensure property digital assets reflect current and ongoing promotions.
  • Take direction from property Marketing Department and company executives to reach desired goals in online sales and audience.
  • Assist with special promotional operations and accommodate creative asset needs.
  • Collaborate with property management on upcoming initiatives and objectives.
  • Coordinate implementation for new technology, processes, and policies established by company management.
  • Assist in executions related to adjustments or new initiatives based on monthly online marketing reports and budgets.
  • Understand and communicate club rules, promotion rules, promotion details, and on-property issues to guests.
  • Safeguard the confidential nature of all departmental, company, and guest records.
  • Work with Oasis, InfoGenesis, Etix, and other necessary programs to fulfill job requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with Internet marketing-related technologies and applications, including HTML, Adobe CS, and content management systems.
  • Expert in the use of social networking websites to effectively promote strategic business goals.
  • Expert online communicator with demonstrated writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to display a casual and friendly, yet professional online voice.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable using web analytics tools to analyze and make recommendations regarding social media and email marketing campaigns.
  • Capacity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, co-workers, and partners.
  • Ability to work in a complex deadline-oriented environment and multi-task with little supervision.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a polite demeanor and neat appearance.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit excellent judgment and high moral integrity.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in an efficient manner.
  • Availability to work all shifts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background investigation and obtain a WV Racing License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a concentration in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, and/or related field.
