About the position

The Coordinator, Digital & Social Media Marketing will lead the strategy and daily operations of the Memphis Redbirds and AutoZone Park's social media presence. This role is essential for curating content that aligns with the club's marketing and communication strategies, managing a content calendar, and executing paid social strategies. The position involves engaging with fans, monitoring social conversations, and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to enhance the club's digital footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee social media presence/strategy for the Memphis Redbirds and AutoZone Park handles.
  • Maintain content calendar to ensure timely promotion of appropriate team-related content, events, and alignment of club marketing and communications strategies.
  • Execute the paid social strategy and budget under the direction of the Director of Marketing.
  • Cover games, events, and other relevant appearances through social media.
  • Monitor daily social conversations of fans to expand the Memphis Redbirds' social reach and evaluate social sentiment.
  • Monitor daily social conversations of other brands, teams, influencers, etc. to identify trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to club social strategy by providing innovative resources and tools to develop campaigns and channel plans.
  • Work in partnership with internal stakeholders to manage day-to-day project expectations and deliverables for select programming, special events, and campaigns.
  • Provide timely and detailed social media reporting for all club special events, theme nights, key announcements, milestones, etc.
  • Manage the coordination of all social design elements with the creative services team and social media director.
  • Review in-bound fan messages to ensure fast and high-level customer service.
  • Stay up to date on analytics, providing reporting on KPIs and other predetermined metrics.
  • Manage and grow the social influencer database, including sports blogs and influencers.
  • Assist with special projects and presentations.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work simultaneously across multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of AP Style preferred.
  • Proficient with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media planning tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree.
