About The Position

The Coordinator of Employee Recruitment at Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools is responsible for supporting schools and departments in their hiring processes. This role involves managing job postings, monitoring applicant pools, and pre-screening candidates to ensure that vacancies are filled with highly qualified individuals. The coordinator will utilize various communication channels, including social media, to effectively promote job vacancies and attract a diverse workforce.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field with five years of related experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with two years of experience.
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field with three to five years of experience is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Knowledge of WS/FCS policies and procedures regarding employment.
  • Basic knowledge of talent acquisition trends and developments.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to develop professional relationships and use technology for recruitment.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, plans, and implements recruiting activities to attract and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Maintains a network of contacts to identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, and employment agencies.
  • Participates in recruitment trips and job fairs, both in-person and virtual.
  • Implements technology and social media strategies to meet staffing needs.
  • Ensures timely access to qualified candidates for hiring supervisors.
  • Assists in developing a pool of qualified applicants for vacancies.
  • Reviews applicants to determine eligibility for employment.
  • Publicizes vacancies for current employees to refer candidates.
  • Manages at least three district-wide career fairs annually, including logistics and marketing.
  • Partners with universities and colleges to build a candidate pipeline.
  • Oversees talent pools for specific positions by screening candidates and managing assessments.
  • Leads webinars for prospective candidates.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
